MI) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SquareTrade 2-Year Computer Accident Protection Plan ($300-400) (Personal Computers) The laptop that I bought this warranty on ended up with a bad harddrive, I contacted this company to make a claim only to find out that although I paid for a 2 year warranty they only cover the laptop after the manufacturer's 1 year warranty expires, which means I paid for a 2 year warranty but only get 1 years coverage (I must of missed this in their small print). So next time I will check more deeply before purchasing these warranties. I took my computer to Sea World. My kids were using it recklessly, and dropped it in the dolphin tank. The dolphins actually swam up and grabbed it before it sank all the way to the bottom. Then they played catch with it - to the delight of the crowds. They were actually jumping out of the water with my computer in their mouths! Sea World Jumbo Trons aired the whole thing. After a few minutes the dolphins got bored and let it sink to the bottom of the tank where it got sucked into a circulation port. All I could do was watch in horror as my 900.00 purchase literally went down the drain. I found the park manager and he was able to have the maintenance staff retrieve it from a filter housing. -Anyway, I turned my computer in for repair and the protection plan covered everything. Sea world even sent me a video of the whole ordeal -which I now watch on my refurbished computer! Thanks Square Trade! |
